Pediatric Sedation Dentistry

In certain cases, conscious sedation or general anesthesia is necessary to do large amounts of dental work or surgery. We have years of experience in delivering this service for our patients.

If your child has a long procedure or needs several procedures done at once, sedation may be a good choice. There are many forms of sedation, including local anesthesia, nitrous oxide or “laughing gas”, conscious sedation and general anesthesia, which requires a specially trained anesthesiologist who knows how to administer sedatives to children.

Sedation dentistry is safe and effective and can be a good option for a wide range of dental treatment issues. We work with families to provide the right treatment plan for each patient, and will thoroughly explain the risks and options for you.
